barabecuing asparagus

Barbecuing your asparagus will give it a light smoky flavor
that is quite distinct from boiling or steaming..

Steps and to technique properly barbecue asparagus
on a charcoal grill:

  1. Take one bunch of fresh asparagus and wash thoroughly
    several times in warm water

  2. Trim off the end of each steam of the asparagus

  3. Place freshly trimmed asparagus in a large mixing bowl.

  4. Set the grill on a medium height above the coals - you don't
want the asparagus to cook too quickly and become black

  5. Place asparagus stems on the grill cook until lightly colored about 3 to 4 minutes each side.

  6. Place barbecued asparagus in clean bowl and if desired
lightly toss in a light vinaigrette while still war

container like Tuperware and refrigerate. Warm up our Barbecued
