Steaming asparagus
will deliver a clean and crisp flavor.
Steps and to
technique properly to steaming asparagus
on a range top stove:

Take
one bunch of fresh asparagus and wash thoroughly several times in
warm water

Trim off the end of each steam of the asparagus

In
a pot bring 3 inches of water to a boil on your range top.

Bundle
of 10-12 spears of freshly trimmed asparagus, wrap them in cooking
twine. This is so the asparagus can be quickly removed from the hot
water all at once.

Stand
the asparagus in 3 inches of boiling water, cover and cook for 3-6
minutes.

Remove
the asparagus form the boiling water and plate with butter, salt and
pepper to taste.
Alternative Method and steps for
steaming asparagus:

Take

Place unbundled fresh asparagus into
a two chamber steaming pot
for 3 to 6 minutes

Remove steamed asparagus for the two chamber steaming pot and with
butter, salt and pepper to taste.
*If you have leftover
steamed asparagus place in an airtight sealed container like Tuperware
and refrigerate. Warm up our steamed asparagus later in the microwave
for a tasty treat. Steamed asparagus should keep for 5 days if refrigerated
properly.
